The Springbok is  a gazelle found in the dry plains of southern Africa. It gets its name from its curious habit of making stiff-legged,springing movements into the air called “pronking”.

The Springbok,or Springbuck, is a graceful animal with a reddish-fawn coat, white under parts and a distinctive black stripe along its flank. When alarmed, the Springbok opens a pocket-like fold of its skin along its back to display a crest of stiff white hair.https://www.youtube.com/v/v5IJBbA6UkA?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0
